Guild Spotlight: Divinity

This week’s guild spotlight is with Divinity! We have the guild leader, Obeik, with us today to tell us more about the guild.

Guild Name: Divinity
Server: Tensess
Faction: League

Can you give us a little history about Divinity?
Divinity started out as just a dream. I used to be in New Ages, hoping to eventually be promoted and start my own branch, but I never was. New Ages died, and I took a little break from Allods and started planning to make my own guild, just to see how it would do. I planned out a special structure for the guild too, one that I haven’t personally seen in other guilds. Each Junior Officer has their own group of people to look after, take care of, and lead. Each new recruit is assigned to a “squad.” I feel this is a good structure because it can spread responsibility throughout the guild, bring guild members closer together (at least with their fellow squad mates), it brings a team element to the guild (which we will use for games eventually, squad against squad), and gives a chance to lead to more people. The Senior Officers look after the guild in general, and may sub for a Junior Officer if he or she is not present. Divinity has a bit of democracy too as new officers are nominated by everyone in the guild. So, once my little break finally ended, I created the guild with help from temporary members, and since then, the guild has grown into a very friendly one. I’ll admit though, we haven’t started the “squad” structure yet, but once we nominate more officers, we’ll start forming it. We also have a forums for members to get to know each other even better, and where we’ll posts guild news and activities and lots of other stuff. AllodsDivinity.Guildlaunch.com

What are the goals of Divinity? Are you a casual PvE guild? Hardcore PvP? Raiding?
Divinity sets goals that are not too far away, then when we reach those goals, we set more just a little further, and continue. We do have dreams, though, like every other guild. Dreams of becoming big and widely known, full of helpful members, full of members who’ve reached the level cap, etc. I feel if we keep following these stepping stone goals, we will eventually reach our dreams.

Divinity isn’t a set type of guild. We have a little bit of everything thanks to our “squad” system. Whatever the Officer decides to theme their group, then that’s what they’ll be. We can have one officer who’s big into pvp’ing, so he/she is in charge of members who are also into pvp’ing, and the same goes with all other types. So our guild is a guild anyone can join.

What are the people of Divinity like?
So far, our members are very friendly and helpful. Everyone is welcoming and has a good attitude, even if some of us get a little carried away at times *coughfeighncough*. Right now, we are still relatively small, with maybe close to 100 members, but only about 20-30 active ones, so guild chat is quiet at times, but we hope to grow and gain more active members.

How would one go about joining Divinity? Are you accepting applications? What are your recruiting criteria?
Level isn’t important in our guild, but personality is. Just about anyone can join, as long as the person is a total (use your imagination). We want fun, friendly, and active members. If anyone wants to join, just whisper either me (Obeik), Lovelybella, or Feighn.

What do you see in Divinity’s future in Allods Online?
It’s very hard to see the future. It’s possible for Divinity to go any way, but I think it’s more possible for us to grow more than it’s possible for us to fall apart. So I see us becoming a very fun and friendly guild in the future. Especially once we get our structure built and start having activities.
